Raina, one of the leading faces of the Indian Premier League (IPL), failed to find a buyer in the mega player auction earlier this year. Surprisingly, even Chennai Super Kings did not bid for the player who had brought them glory earlier.
Earlier, Denik Jagran had reported that Raina is likely to be involved in T20 leagues in South Africa, Sri Lanka and UAE.

“I am playing in the road safety series. I have been approached by T20 franchises from South Africa, Sri Lanka and UAE, but I am yet to make a decision,” Raina said.
In 2020, Raina made his international cricket debut. He made the announcement less than an hour after MS Dhoni made his announcement on August 15. Raina was part of the Indian team that won the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy under Dhoni.
