The Indian Premier League is a professional T20 cricket championship organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). IPL is a short form of cricket tournament that emphasizes fun and excitement in the friendly and peaceful nature of ODI or Test cricket. Dot balls are rare in IPL and most batsmen prefer to go for boundaries. Boundaries produce the most runs in cricket and are key to an exciting innings. There are two types of boundaries in cricket: a four – when the ball leaves the contact area on the ground and a six – when the ball leaves the pitch in the air. The sixth term is the most explosive and stimulates the greatest movement from the mass. Four is a safe option, but many batsmen prefer to hit the crease, even if they want to take the risk. There are few players in the IPL and in the world who have hit more sixes than four in their career. Take a look at the players today. Pollard smashed a total of three sixes in the knock, including the highest so far in the regular season. MI’s 17th innings, Pollard hits spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman for a huge six over high mid-wicket. The shot was a monstrous 105 meters, which became the biggest six in this edition.

Pollard got RCB star Glenn Maxwell, who hit a 100m six earlier this season. Pollard (105m), Maxwell (100m), Surya Kumar Yadav (99m), Manish Pandey (96m), Abdul Samad (93m) have scored the highest century so far in IPL 2021.

With the help of three wickets in a cameo performance, Pollard became only the third overseas batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to hit two hundreds and sixes in a match. He joined Chris Gayle (351) and AB de Villiers (237) in the list of the highest run-scorers by overseas players in IPL history. Gayle still holds the record for more senior wickets than any batsman in the competition’s history.
